Utah Man Charged After Allegedly Defrauding Investors Out of Millions of Dollars

October 16, 2026

Prosecutors unsealed an indictment today charging Parker James Wilde, 29, of Draper, Utah, with securities fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering for multiple investment fraud schemes that resulted in millions of dollars in losses across 200 victims.

According to court documents, starting in August 2021, Parker Wilde allegedly solicited investors in a “done-for-you” e-commerce investment scheme. He promoted his schemes primarily through a curated social media display of investor success and personal affluence. Wilde also allegedly solicited investors in a day trading scheme, promising significant returns based upon his expertise within the cryptocurrency investment industry.

The court scheduled a jury trial for December 18, 2026, at the Orrin G. Hatch United States Courthouse in downtown Salt Lake City.

United States Attorney Melissa Holyoak of the District of Utah made the announcement, and the Utah Department of Commerce’s Divisions of Securities and Consumer Protection, along with the FBI Salt Lake City Field Office, are jointly investigating the case.
