Name Reservations are not business registrations. They simply reserve a business name for a period of 120 days until you are ready to file your business entity.
It is not required to file a Name Reservation prior to filing your business entity. If your formation documents are ready to file, simply file them by following the instructions on How to File a Formation/Registration above. Do not file a Name Reservation prior to or in conjunction with the business entity filing.

Filing Authority is an optional security feature that allows users to register an administrator for an entity, allowing only the administrator and their designated users to file on a business. It is automatically activated for entities created after September 16, 2024, with the registering email as the default administrator. The administrator can grant user privileges to others.
