The Division will no longer be running credit reports on behalf of Postsecondary Schools. Additionally, the Division will no longer accept Fax Credit Authorization Forms.
Notice Regarding Legislative Changes Affecting Division of Consumer Protection Registrations
During the 2026 General Legislative Session, the Legislature passed SB 38, which takes effect on May 6, 2026. This bill modifies registration and compliance requirements for the statutes enforced by the Division.

Apply For Registration
The Postsecondary School and State Authorization Act requires postsecondary schools to register, unless the postsecondary school meets one of the statutory exemptions. Please review the Postsecondary School and State Authorization Act and Rules to determine whether the postsecondary school needs to register with the Division.
How to set up your UtahID account in two steps:
Step 1: Create a UtahID Account
- Go to the UtahID website: https://idhelp.utah.
gov/ - Click on "Account Creation"
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create your username/email and password
Step 2: Link your UtahID to your License
- Log out of the UtahID website.
- Go to the Online Application Portal: https://utahdoc.
mylicenseone.com/ - Log in using your new UtahID username/email and password.
- Locate the "Existing License/Registration Holders" section.
