Apply for a Private Home Inspector License

The following requirements must be met:

  • Provide a current and active National Certificate from one of the following:
    • The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI)
    • The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI)
    • The International Code Council (ICC) Residential Combination Inspector
  • Provide documentation of the following insurance coverage:
    • General Liability Insurance in the amount of $500,000
    • Errors and Omissions Insurance in the amount of $500,000

Insurance Requirement

Insurance must be active at the time of application and maintained throughout licensure. Failure to maintain required insurance may result in disciplinary action against your license.

Division of Professional Licensing must be listed as the certificate holder on all insurance documents:
