Notice Regarding Legislative Changes Affecting Division of Consumer Protection Registrations


During the 2026 General Legislative Session, the Legislature passed SB 38, which takes effect on May 6, 2026. This bill modifies registration and compliance requirements for the statutes enforced by the Division.

SB 38 Notice to Professional Fundraisers and Fundraising Consultants

Before any person or entity can act as a professional fundraiser or professional fundraising consultant, whether or not representing a charitable organization, that person or entity must file an application for registration from the division as required by the Charitable Solicitations Act.
