Building Inspector
Exam Information
There are no licensing exams required for the Combination Inspector, Limited Inspector, or Private Home Inspector license classifications. However, each classification requires certification which may include an exam requirement. For more information on the requirements for either of these professions, please review the following information:
Combination Inspector
The International Code Council (ICC) is a national certification program. Certification as a Combination Inspector will require ALL of the following exams:
- Commercial Building Inspector (ICC Exam ID: B2)
- Residential Building Inspector (ICC Exam ID: B1)
- Commercial Electrical Inspector (ICC Exam ID: E2) *
- Residential Electrical Inspector (ICC Exam ID: E1) *
- Commercial Plumbing Inspector (ICC Exam ID: P2)
- Residential Plumbing Inspector (ICC Exam ID: P1)
- Commercial Mechanical Inspector (ICC Exam ID: M2)
- Residential Mechanical Inspector (ICC Exam ID: M1)
