Exam Information
There are two license classifications in the Veterinary profession that require a licensing exam: Veterinarian and Certified Veterinary Technician. The examination requirements for each of these classifications is listed below.
Veterinarian
- North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE). This exam is administered by the International Council for Veterinary Assessment (ICVA).
Certified Veterinary Technician (exam required under 58-28-309(2)(c))
- Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). This exam is administered by American Association of Veterinary State Board (AAVSB). ย The VTNE will require you to submit one of the following pre-authorization documents: Your official transcript from an accredited veterinary technician training program orย this Verification of Education ย form.
