NOTICE
Beginning January 31, 2026, the Cosmetology professions will transition to an online-only application process. Manual (paper) applications will no longer be accepted.
To apply for licensure, applicants must create a Utah ID and submit their application online through the Utah Division of Professional Licensing portal:
SENATE BILL 330 UPDATE
SB 330 clarifies the scope of practice and supervision for Master Estheticians performing dermaplaning. This law will become effective on June 1, 2026. Please see the attached document for further details Advisory Statement for Dermaplaning.
- REMINDER! Per the Utah Cosmetology and Associated Professions Licensing Act | 58-11a-305, each licensee under this chapter shall prominently display the licensee's license at the location where the licensee engages in the practice for which that license is issued under this chapter. The license holder is responsible for printing the license issued by DOPL and displaying per statute.
